What a wonderful disposition....a real sweetie.
She was 1st place twice as a junior! What a little natural in the
ring. The right attitude and all the looks.
First show out as a yearling first freshener and
she was 1x1st and 1x2nd! She oozes breed character and fore
udder attachment!!! Add to that 1st place at the Kansas
State Fair with 1st udder...and consideration for grand...!
2014 started out well at the Land of
Oz DG Show, Hutchinson, Ks. Kissie was 3x1 and 1x2nd in
classes of 7...AND...1x Grand Champion! Caprine Cornhusker
Classic DG Show...another successful show for Kisses.
Three different judges and 3 first place wins plus two Reserve
Grand Championships. She looked GOOD...and photos will be
updated at the Nebr. St. Fair.
Very good start at the Land of Oz DG Show - 2015 edition :)
Quite the ending to 2015 at the Kansas State Fair...1st, GCH and
Best of Breed plus consideration for Best in Show. Wowser...!!!
After surviving a horrible kidding March 2016 (she almost bled
to death) with 4 large, live kids (3 does, 1 buck) Kissie then
developed a huge load of barber-pole worms. Do NOT use Cydectin
pour on by mouth...it does NOT work. She recovered body
condition enough to show respectfully at the Nebr. St. Fair and
the Ks. St. Fair.
Hoping for a better start in 2018 over this year 2017. At two months
pregnant Kissie lost twins (1 each) and was dried off to the
point that I was going to dry treat her the next morning.
Instead I started milking her morning and evening and managed to
bring her back to a respectable amount of milk...enough to make
it worth it but nothing like it would have been after a normal
freshening. I do plan to show her at the Nebr. St. Fair
and the Ks. St. Fair in Champion Challenge and
Mother/Daughter classes.
Nebr. St. Fair DG Show 2018 version was a success for my Kissie
girl. She took Champion Challenge to be honored with Best
of Breed...PLUS...she also took Best Udder of Breed. What
a come back. Kissie and daughter Tiffany were 1st place
Mother/Daughter!
The 2018 Ks. St. Fair was also a complete success for Kissie.
She once again took the Champion Challenge class and Best Udder
of Breed. She was in the running for Best in Show and Best
Udder in Show. She. Looked. Good!
Very simply...Kissie took the year off (2019 - Her idea not
mine!). I'm hoping for a stellar year in 2020 after all
the rest (she did milk thru for me)!!!
